The long waited Sree RamaNavami is upon us to celebrate the divine Birth, as well as SitaRama Kalyanam both divine events happened on the same day!

SriRama Raama Raameti Rame Raame Manorame
Sahasranaama Tattulyam Raamanama Varanaanane

Lord Shiva told this sloka to Parvati I meditate upon Sri Ram as Sri Rama, three thrice
recital of Rama's name equal to Recitation of the thousand Names of Lord Vishnu (Vishnu Sahasra nama)
The chanting of Lord SriRama removes all his devotee's sins and brings prosperity to them. Lord SriRama fulfills the wishes and desires of his devotees, He is the king and the Lord of the whole universe.
SriRama Navami is celebrated on the ninth day of the Hindu Month of Chaitra (Chaitra shudda Navami). The day of SriRama Navami is the final day of the nine day celebrations of Vasanta Navaratri.

Now let us watch a beautiful footage of about 10 minutes Ramayana, fight between Lord Rama & his sons and end with diparture of Sita Maa from this earth by clicking the link below

On this auspicious day, devotees observe fasting, chanting Vedic mantras dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and offering flowers and fruit to God. Temples of Rama are decorated, special pujas are performed, and religious discourses (Satsang) are held.
From early in the morning till late at night, the devotional music and chants of Rama are played. Numerous organizations celebrate Ramotsava inviting musicians to perform week-long programmes. It is believed that listening to the story of Rama cleanses the soul.
The special dish prepared for this festival is called Panakam, a mixture of new jaggery, cardamoms, black pepper powder and water. In some areas, panakam is prepared with jaggery, water and butter milk. On this occasion, in temples panakam is served as prasadam.
In Andhra Pradesh of South India, Sri Rama Navami festival is celebrated with great religious fervour and devotion, in the abode of Sitarama Temple at Bhadrachalam of Khammam District, as "Sree Sitarama Kalyana Mahotsav". This celebration at Bhadrachalam attracts as many as three lakhs of devotees every year. It is celebrated as the wedding ceremony between Lord Rama and Sita, as a role play where every aspect of human feelings is covered. This celebration has been in practice around 400 years, started during the reign of Nizams, and still it is continued in all its glory.
Besides the usual fasting and prayers, a most delightful tradition that is practised as a part of the Ram Navami celebrations in south India is the narration of stories from the epic "Ramayana". Rama is considered as the epitome of perfection, fulfilling all his duties towards both family and subjects. Talented storytellers are known to narrate episodes of the Ramayana with the local flavour and humour adding to it. This is essentially a folk tradition and still continues in villages and small towns.

The most popular Sri Rama Temple in India Particularly in South has to be Bhadrachala Rama and you are all invited to this divine Temple by clicking the link below
http://www.bhadrachalarama.org/
Bhadrachala Rama is unique at least in 3 aspects namely, only in Bhadrachalam in Andhra pradesh Sri Rama has four arms and no where else as His Bhakta Bhadra visualised Him as Sri Maha Vishnu hence four arms and Sita Ma sitting very proudly on His left thigh and Sita Maa has 3 MangalaSutras, one from her father Janaka, one from her Dasaratha her Father in law and the third one is from Rama Dasu, the most devoted Bhakta of Sri Rama who constructed SriRama Temple at bhadrachalam. No where else these unique feature are seen even today. We were very fortunate to visit this sacred place a couple of years ago. Those who have not been should visit as soon as possible and it is a MUST for every Telugu Sister and brother.
