SRAVANA MANGALA +SUKRAVARA VRATAM

Dear Sisters & Brothers, Yesterday was naga Panchami which I verlooked being away from Home. Home some of our sisters must have observed on behalf of all of us i am sure.
Today is Surya Sashti which is mostly observed by our Northern sisters.
Surya Sasthi - festival dedicated to Surya - is celebrated in Uttar Pradesh on the sixth day (sasthi) of the new moon of Kartik (a month in the North Indian Hindu Calendar). It is also known as Dala Chhat. It is observed on the banks of a river. Mothers observe fast on this day for the well being of their children, pray to the Sun God in the morning and evening and at night float burning lamps on rivers.
As we can see how is our culture protects all living creatures in this Universe!
Sravana Masam started on July 23rd and will end on August 20th. It is important all our sisters both married & unmarrid should observe Sravana Mangala Gowri vratam on every Tuesday and VaraLakshmi vratam on Sravana Sukravaram in this sacred month of Sravana.
Sravana Mangala Vratam on 23rd July, 3o th July, 4 th August, 11th August, 18th August
