NAVARATRI FESTIVAL

Dear Sisters & Brothers, The long awaited most celebrated festival of NavaRatri is upon his to imbibe the Blessings of our Universal MOTHER of all Mothers which are responsible for the creation of all of us. What a wonderful culture to do Puja celebrations to the feminine gender which is nowhere practised in this creation which we all are proud of to be born in the sacred Bharat where so many divine people took birth and even Gods are anxious to have a human form in our Veda Bhumi.
The main purpose of these 10 days is to protect all the creatures in this Universe to have a peaceful living, helping each other in everyday life.
But are we living like this? Not at all! Why not? because of one quality (EGO) which is the mother of all evils including about 46% of our daughters & sons in Bharat in the first three years of life are malnourished and so many thousands of children dying of malnutriob is a shame for all of us in spite of our economic progress in our country. I know we tend to blame the Government for every evil which is easier than feeling responsibility for all these evils. We need to blame ourselves enjoying life with luxeries when millions of children are not having at least one ful meal a day.
Please click the link below to read the facts of those unfortunate kids without any fault of their own!

Please let us take an owe today, the first day of Navaratri we all should do our part to alleviate the evils of our Punya Bhumi.

This festival called `Navratri’, meaning ‘Nine Nights’, is an ancient and colourful festival. It is celebrated in honour of the Divine Mother (The Power or The Force), representing The Nature. This also is a festival which combines religion, devotion, culture, and recreation. People worship, offer prayers, visit temples, and celebrate for Nine Nights, but not necessary without compassion, concern to our fellow beings, it is a waste of time, energy and money! Please think about it. If we have these basic qualities, all the rituals, pujas, singing and going temples will add extra grace for our peaceful happy leaving and we will be able to help other unfortunate ones.

It is an occasion for vibrant festivities throughout the country. Nine different manifestations of Durga are worshipped over the nine days ;
Durga :goddess beyond reach
Bhadrakali the auspicious power of time
Amba or Jagdamba: mother of the world
Annapurna: giver of food and plenty
Sarvamangala: auspicious goddess
Bhairavi: terrible, fearful, power of death
Chandika or handi: violent, wrathful, furious
Lalita: playful
Bhavani: giver of existence
Idols of the Goddess Durga are elaborately decorated and worshipped in elaborate pandals for nine days, and on the tenth day immersed in a river or pond. Each day during this festival has religious significance for the devotees. Singing, dancing, sweets & gaiety are an integral part of the Durga Pooja Festival. People send Durga Puja Gifts to dear ones and express good wishes.
